Opening the Protein Sample Prep Workbench About the Protein Sample Prep Workbench The Protein Sample Prep Workbench is the interface that enables you to access the following: • Workflow Library • Application Library • Utility Library • Literature Library Figure. Protein Sample Prep Workbench Major and minor revisions of apps and utilities The version of each application and utility is designated by a decimal number, where • Major revision or original release is designated by the number before the decimal point. A major revision is a change to the protocol and may also include changes to the interface (AssayMAP form). • Minor revision is designated by the number after the decimal point. Minor revisions indicate a change only to the AssayMAP form and does not impact how the protocol runs. For example, version 1.0 designates an original release of the application or utility, version 1.1 designates a change to the form only, version 2.0 designates a change to the protocol, and so forth. A major version automatically resets the minor number to 0. Starting the workbench For instructions on how to start up the AssayMAP Bravo Platform, see System Startup/Shutdown v2.2. To start the Protein Sample Prep Workbench: On the Windows desktop, double-click the Protein Sample Prep Workbench icon. Alternatively, on the Windows 10 desktop, select Start > Agilent Technologies > Protein Sample Prep Workbench.
