Managing user accounts
About user accounts and passwords
User accounts and passwords use the following conventions:
Adding a user account
To add a user account:

Select Tools > User Management.

In the User Management dialog box, click Create new user and enter a name for the user.

Enter values in the User information, and User security areas.

Click Update selected user to save changes, and then close the dialog box.
Disabling a user account
You cannot delete a user account, but you can disable it.
To disable an account so that the user cannot log in:

Select Tools > User Management.

Select the Account disabled check box.

Click Update selected user to save changes, and then close the dialog box.
Resetting a user account
If a user mistypes the password five consecutive times, the user is locked out of the account until an administrator resets the account.
To reset an account:

Select Tools > User Management.

Click Reset failed login count.

Click Update selected user to save changes, and then close the dialog box.
Changing a password
An administrator can reset the password of any account. Technicians can change their own passwords at Log in.
To reset a password:

Select Tools > User Management.

Click Set password, enter the new password twice and click OK.

Click OK to the Password Update message.
