Supported devices

The VWorks software uses device plugins to manage and control Agilent Automation Solutions devices. A device can be a robot, an instrument, or a location in the lab automation system that can hold a piece of labware.

When you start the VWorks software, the icons of the plugins for the supported devices are listed in the Available Devices area of the window, as the following figure shows.

Agilent devices

The VWorks software supports the following Agilent Automation Solutions devices. Refer to the corresponding device use guide for the device description and setup instructions.

•	Automation Control Unit (ACU)

•	BenchBot Robot

•	BenchCel Microplate Handler

•	Bravo Automated Liquid Handling Platform

•	Centrifuge

•	Centrifuge with Loader

•	Direct Drive Robot

•	Labware MiniHub

•	Labware Stacker

•	Microplate Labeler

•	PlateLoc Thermal Microplate Sealer

•	Vertical Pipetting Station

Additional devices

The following locations are considered VWorks devices. For more information, see Setting up location devices.

Waste Bin

The software includes the following “phantom” devices, which permit the manual movement of labware during a protocol run. For more information, see Setting up phantom devices.
