The Initialize Axis (Agilent Bravo) () task allows any one of the six Bravo axes (motors) to be initialized (homed) during a protocol run.

Cleanup Protocol
For example, you could use this task with the AssayMAP Bravo Platform, which may contain liquid in the head syringes. You would initialize the device without initializing the w‑axis to prevent dispensing any liquid onto a random deck location. Next, you would run a protocol to move the head to the waste location and then use the Initialize axis task to home the w‑axis. For details, contact Agilent Agilent Technical Support.
Task parameters
After adding the Initialize axis task at the desired point in the protocol, set the following parameters in the Task Parameters area:

Parameter
Description
Axis
The axis to be initialized. The options are W, X, Y, Z, Zg, and G.
Initialize even if already homed
The option to check if the Bravo axis is already homed before initializing it.
If the check box is selected, no check is made to see if the Bravo axis is already homed before initializing (homing) the axis.
If the check box is cleared, the Bravo is queried as to whether the axis is homed.
If the axis is already homed, the task completes without doing anything else.
If the axis is not already homed, the Bravo initializes (homes) the specified axis.
