Disconnecting the air tubing
About this topic
This topic explains how to disconnect the air tubing without damaging the air input connector.
Before moving or shipping the Microplate Labeler you must disconnect the air tubing. You may also want to do this before performing maintenance or cleaning the device.
Before you begin

To avoid injury, turn off the air supply before disconnecting the air tubing. When air is flowing, air tubing can injure you if it whips around and strikes you. If you have not been trained in the correct way to handle air tubing, contact your facilities department.

Follow the directions in this topic to correctly disconnect the air tubing from the Microplate Labeler air supply port in order to avoid damage to the device.
Procedure
To disconnect the air tubing:
1 Turn off the air source so that there is no air pressure to the Microplate Labeler.
2 Push in the orange locking collar on the quick-release fitting.
3 With your free hand, gently pull on the air tubing until it comes free.
